2004 Sloan-C Awards

The Sloan Consortium annual awards were presented during the Sloan-C Gala at the Tenth Sloan-C International Conference on Asynchronous Learning Networks in Orlando, Florida, on November 12, 2004.  These awards recognize significant contributions to online education. Effective Practices were nominated by the Sloan-C editors for effective practices: Meg Benke of Empire State College, Tana Bishop of the University of Maryland University College, Melody Thompson of The Pennsylvania State University World Campus, John Sener of Sener Learning Services, and Karen Swan of Kent State University.  Awardees were selected by an invited panel of judges: Bruce Chaloux, Southern Regional Education Board; Joeann Humbert, Rochester Institute of Technology; George Otte, City University of New York; Carol Scarafiotti, Rio Salado College; and Ray Schroeder, University of Illinois-Springfield.
