We welcome you to the 16th Annual Sloan Consortium International
Conference on Online Learning: “The Power of Online Learning:
Stimulating New Possibilities.” The conference program will offer a
full complement of presentations that reflect the implications for the
field of specific e-learning experience and practices. Keynote and
plenary addresses, as well as pre- and post-conference workshops,
featured sessions, special interest sessions, concurrent session
presentations, Best-in-Track presentations, and poster sessions will
address blended learning, issues of diversity, international
applications of online learning, open educational resources, social
networking, online learning and community colleges, and K-12 online
education as well as other topics of common interest.
Who Should Attend?
This conference, which will provide the latest information on
asynchronous learning programs, processes, packages, and protocols, is
geared to both experienced professionals and interested newcomers to
online learning who hail from a variety of work sectors, including
higher education, continuing education, business, government, health
care, professional associations, and nonprofit organizations. It is
especially designed to meet the needs of:

Attendance at the 2009 Annual conference located in Orlando, FL
attracted 1,144 total attendees from over 679 institutions, 49
states & territories, and 21 countries representing college level
faculty and administrators, instructional technology professionals and
instructional designers. Specific details on institutions,

Conference location
All presentations and pre-conference workshops will be held at the
Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando, Florida. One of Orlando’s premier
hotels, the Caribe Royale is located just twenty minutes from Orlando
International Airport.

Conference fees
Early bird registration fee for the conference is $495.
After October 15, 2010 the fee will be $545. The
registration fee includes access to over 200 presentations in 6
concurrent sessions, the cost of all materials, Wednesday welcome
reception and banquet, 3 continental breakfasts, Thursday awards
luncheon, all refreshment breaks, Thursday afternoon poster session and
