Community Colleges: Emerging Trends in Online Learning and Technology

This session will focus on emerging trends in community college systems in online learning and technology.  The North Carolina Community College System is one of the largest in the nation with 58 institutions.  Dr. Williams will address need for online learning, its role in workforce development, critical audiences, appropriate distance learning technologies and programs, and resource requirements.  She will share current data on community colleges involved in online learning and scope of effective programs - including transitions throughout the K-16 system.
