Educators agree that assessment and quality initiatives should be led by faculty, not imposed from above (whether by the institution, the state, or the federal government). But designing and implementing assessment initiatives is time consuming and can seem to require complex and expensive tools. This session will survey the FREE tools available to faculty and institutions, including RubricLibrary.com, RubiStar, and Waypoint's own online rubric design course. The session will end with a sneak peek at Waypoint 2.0, which will feature a no-cost subscription option for individual faculty and a unified commenting and assessment palette.
