Extended Abstract
Discover new and effective ways to enhance organizational performance and individual development through the process of translating internal messaging into the language of simulations. Learn the steps that top clients are taking to contextualize their internal brand missions and translate their message into programs that engages and motivates today's supply chain employees. The session includes an in-depth look at BrandGames' new cutting-edge simulation designed for Deloitte, which puts a new, interactive face on Diversity and Inclusion training. Changing family structures and work/life arrangements, generational differences, increasing numbers of women and minorities in the workplace and the evolution of mobile technology presents a new layer or challenges to Deloitte as they assemble teams to serve clients. Their goal is a workplace where everyone feels welcome and has the opportunity to do important work and advance within the firm and where people feel free to live and work honestly and openly without the need to conform to anyone else's expectations about culture or lifestyle. The new Diversity and Inclusion simulation challenges learners to interact with diverse groups of coworkers in a virtual space that teaches them ways to understand and overcome their own stereotypes and develop positive ways of confronting biases that won't undermine the organizations ability to achieve it's vision of excellent client service. This presentation provides an overview of the key differences in the emerging generation of talent and takes a close look at why current communications methods are not effectively reaching employees. You'll leave this session with a new understanding of workforce demographics, message translation, the simulation development process, and an understanding of how engagement can be tied directly to Return on Investment.
