The Importance of Pedagogy and Andragogy in Online Learning

One of the most valuable benefits of online instruction is that courses can be designed and developed so that a learner can use resources based on how he or she learns.  The types of options made available to learners should be determined in accordance with research-based practices and methodologies.  This presentation will address how utilization of research-based practices and methodologies from both pedagogical and andragogical theory can be combined to better serve higher education's online learners as well as the faculty members who teach them.
