Abstract
One of the common challenges that universities face is assisting students to gain the proper skills for academic writing. Frequently, students are required to write papers using specific formatting such as the American Psychological Association (APA) style. Attention to detail is essential, but applying the styles can be confusing. Bisk Education, in partnership with Florida Institute of Technology, has developed an interactive tool to teach APA citation style to students. The objectives are to provide rules for APA format as it applies to each essential element. This includes demonstration and practice with the proper placement and format of each essential element of a reference. This presentation will highlight the process of how we developed these interactions and met our objectives.
