Abstract
Whether introducing a new LMS, or attempting to change your LMS, there are several issues to consider.  Come learn from those who have successfully transitioned their educational institutions to a new LMS.  The presenters will address the search for a new LMS and the challenges and solutions related to implementation.

Is your institution interested in implementing a new learning management solution? Whether introducing a new LMS, or attempting to change your LMS provider, there are several issues to consider. Come learn from those who have successfully transitioned their educational institutions from one LMS to another. The presenters will address the search for a new learning management solution, challenges and solutions related to implementation and new tools for today's environment.
 
This presentation will be given by Charlene Douglas, Marketing Manager for Higher Education for Desire2Learn Incorporated and Denis Stratford, Chief Information Officer and Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies for MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. Charlene has 19 years of experience in higher education and has made the transition from many LMSs to other LMSs including Web Course in a Box, Prometheus, Blackboard, ANGEL, WebCT and Desire2Learn. Denis has led, planned and executed the transition from an in house developed LMS to Desire2Learn at MGH. Denis has experienced this transition from both an administrator role and from an instructor role.
