Extended Abstract

GradUate Minnesota is a targeted effort by the University of Minnesota to encourage online degree completion for students with more than 90 credits who left higher education without finishing their degree. The initiative consists of five major components: 1) Identification of and communication with eligible students; 2) Supporting the development of multiple online degree completion options to meet the needs of different student groups; 3) Providing student services to assist students on their path to degree completion; 4) Enhancing the technology infrastructure to support these efforts; and 5) Addressing policy and procedures that hinder online degree completion

The broader goals of GradUate Minnesota are still being realized. As we move forward with the GradUate Minnesota initiative, the initiative itself will evolve and change in response to lessons learned and newly emerging needs. Presenters will share lessons learned that would be applicable to other institutions and will invite attendees to share examples of similar programs at their home institutions.
