Abstract
Currently, most treatments of autism are centered on individual face-to-face therapies. This paper presents a new and unique perspective for autism treatment - virtual community treatment. Therapeutic use of virtual communities and interactive simulation are better to help patients achieve improved therapeutic effects and adapt to real life.
Extended Abstract
Virtual community treatments provide doctors with a unique perspective to diagnose a patient's problems. This method inherits and enhances the advantages of traditional treatments for autism and adds new features to create a new approach. In order to take better advantage of virtual technology and help autistic patients more effectively, the applications and uses of virtual technology needs further research and refinement. In addition, we emphasized that, through the virtual treatment community we do not aim to reduce, or even block the interaction between patients in the community. On the contrary, this kind of treatment provides patients with a safe and non-threatening operating environment which they can get familiar with before finally entering into society.
