Abstract
A growing cadre of virtual high school alumni has gone to college during the past decade, and these students have a vastly different educational experience and set of expectations than either previous generations of college students or their peers who do not take high school courses online.  This session reviews current research on who is participating in virtual high schools and the virtual school experience, focusing on implications for college instructors for working with students who have learned in various physical, virtual and blended environments.
