A blended learning structure is a good solution for natural science lab courses, as it takes advantage of the best online and on-campus teaching tools. This session will cover strategies for designing blended lab science courses that effectively utilize face to face and online components.

This presentation will:1) Provide background information on teaching natural science lab classes online (whether blended or fully online).2) Help participants to understand some of the variables they will need to consider when structuring a blended course, such as which learning objectives are best met through online or on-campus instruction, and which activities to use in the on-campus classroom and which to use in the online portion of the course.
