A Spectrum of Innovative Hybrid Programs
This session analyzes a spectrum of hybrid programs from a variety of universities. The programs represent innovative approaches to overcome pedagogical, regulatory, and other challenges.
This session analyzes over a dozen hybrid programs of national scope from four different universities, including the University of Cincinnati, the University of Florida, the University of New England, Portland State University, and Northwestern University. The presentation includes a description of the pedagogical planning that went into each program to ensure mission, regulatory, academic, and social needs were met. We then discuss things that went well and things that did not, what changes were made, and how we continue to meet the unique challenges that hybrid learning presents. The first half of the session will be a presentation, and the second half of the session will be a time to share challenges at your own institution and have Dr. Pickar and other participants provide insight into solutions.
