Dear Sloan-C Community,

Nominations are open for two vacancies that will occur on the Sloan Consortium's Board of Directors on January 1, 2013.  To be eligible to serve on the Sloan-C Board of Directors, nominees must be current individual members, or their primary organizations must be institutional members, of the Sloan Consortium.  The closing date for receipt of nominations is July 15, 2012. 

All nominees will be reviewed by the Sloan-C Nominations and Elections Committee.  A slate of nominees will be sent to the Board of Directors, and the Board will elect two new Board members at its annual meeting in October 2012.  The new members will be elected to a three-year term, and then each will be eligible to serve a second three-year term on the Board of Directors.

Anyone may submit a nomination, but nominees or their primary organizations must be Sloan Consortium members.  Sloan Consortium Bylaws prohibit more than two members serving on the Board from the same institution.  A current list of the Sloan-C Board of Directors is at: http://sloanconsortium.org/aboutus/directors.
