We welcome you to the 18th Annual Sloan Consortium International Conference on Online Learning. The conference program will offer a full complement of presentations that reflect the implications for the field of specific e-learning experience and practices. Keynote and plenary addresses, as well as pre-conference workshops, featured sessions, information sessions, Best-in-Track presentations, and poster presentations will address blended learning, issues of diversity, international applications of online learning, open educational resources, social networking, online learning and community colleges, and K-12 online education as well as other topics of common interest.

Who Should Attend?
This conference, which will provide the latest information on asynchronous learning programs, processes, packages, and protocols, is geared to both experienced professionals and interested newcomers to online learning who hail from a variety of work sectors, including higher education, continuing education, K-12 professionals, business, government, health care, professional associations, and nonprofit organizations. It is especially designed to meet the needs of:

  • College-level faculty and administrators
  • Instructional technology and media professionals
  • Instructional designers
  • Trainers in public and private sector organizations

 

Attendee Demographics
Attendance at the 2011 Annual conference located in Orlando, FL attracted 1,484 onsite attendees and 600 virtual attendees from over 675 institutions, 47 states & territories, and 25 countries representing college level faculty and administrators, instructional technology professionals and instructional designers.  Specific details on institutions, states/territories, and countries represented at the Symposium are available from the Conference Services Manager.

Discounted Walt Disney World park tickets and giftcards for conference attendees:

Sloan-C conference attendees may purchase discounted park ticketsPlease note: Discounted multi-day park tickets should be purchased in advance for the largest discount.  Multi-Day park tickets may be bought onsite at the Swan and Dolphin ticket kiosk; however, the discount is lower onsite.  The special "After 2pm" and "After 4pm" tickets are only available for advance purchase;  they are not available for purchase onsite at the Swan and Dolphin ticket kiosk. 

Purchase a Walt Disney World giftcard - The giftcard may be used for food and drink at the EPCOT International Food and Wine festival prior to Sloan-C's dessert event at EPCOT on Thursday evening.  Giftcards may also be used for many other Walt Disney World purchases and for purchases at the Disney merchandise shop located at the Swan and Dolphin hotel.
