3. Does the cost of the conference include accommodations? Where can I find details of location and accommodation options?
The registration fee does not include accommodations. All conference sessions will be held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Rooms will be available at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort for a special OLC conference rate. Attendees of the conference must book their hotel room through the conference website no later than September 26, 2014 in order to receive discounted rates starting at $186.00* per night plus taxes and fees. *The conference room rate includes a mandatory resort service package fee of $10 per day. The resort service package includes: unlimited in-room high speed Internet access, up to 60 minutes of free local, toll free and credit card access calls (10 cents a minute thereafter), 20 minutes of domestic long distance calls per stay, 2 bottles of water daily, and unlimited access to the resort's health club facilities. The special conference rate also applies for three days prior to and three days after the conclusion of the conference.
4. Will there be exhibits at the event? If so, what opportunities are available for exhibitors?
Space is available for exhibitors; an exhibit prospectus is available. Questions on exhibit and sponsorship opportunities may be addressed to Christine Hinkley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
5. Am I able to provide printed materials to be included in participant packages?
In an effort to be as "green" as possible, we do not hand out participant packages. Registered participants will receive a printed Schedule-at-a-Glance upon checkin. We also strongly encourage presenters to post presentation and any support materials to the conference proceedings repository.
6. Will there be a printed program book?
OLC is going green. There will not be a printed program book. OLC will provide a printed Schedule-at-a-Glance with basic program information upon check-in at the registration desk on-site. Full program information will be available on the website (see the Program pages) beginning on or about July 11, so you can start to plan which sessions you'd like to attend beginning at the end of July.
There will not be a downloadable PDF of a program, but we do have a Conference Mobile App that will have all the up to date conference program information available. There will be wireless access in the conference area and computer kiosks, as well as the social networking center and email lab, set up for you to access the program information from the OLC website.
7. Do you issue letters of invitation to attend the conference?
We do not provide "Letters of Invitation" for international attendees to attend our events. Conference participants from other countries must obtain a tourist or student visa on their own merit and not be dependent upon Letters of Invitation from OLC to acknowledge or sponsor their attendance. It is up to the applicant, and the applicant alone, to demonstrate his or her desire and compelling plans to return to their home country after a brief visit in order to qualify for a visa.
