We welcome you to the 17th Annual Sloan Consortium International Conference on Online Learning. The conference program will offer a full complement of presentations that reflect the implications for the field of specific e-learning experience and practices. Keynote and plenary addresses, as well as pre-conference workshops, featured sessions, information sessions, Best-in-Track presentations, and poster presentations will address blended learning, issues of diversity, international applications of online learning, open educational resources, social networking, online learning and community colleges, and K-12 online education as well as other topics of common interest.

Who Should Attend?
This conference, which will provide the latest information on asynchronous learning programs, processes, packages, and protocols, is geared to both experienced professionals and interested newcomers to online learning who hail from a variety of work sectors, including higher education, continuing education, K-12 professionals, business, government, health care, professional associations, and nonprofit organizations. It is especially designed to meet the needs of:

• Instructional technology and media professionals
• Instructional designers
• Trainers in public and private sector organizations

Attendance at the 2010 Annual conference located in Orlando, FL attracted 1,202 total attendees from over 679 institutions, 47 states & territories, and 19 countries representing college level faculty and administrators, instructional technology professionals and instructional designers.  Specific details on institutions, states/territories, and countries represented at the Symposium are available from the Conference Services Manager.

Sponsored by:		Epcot Dessert Reception Thursday, November 10th Complimentary event for all attendees - RSVP required prior to the start of the conference during the registration process.  No RSVPs accepted after November 4.   We are sold out of wristbands for the EPCOT event.  Guests who do not receive a wristband at check-in are encouraged to stop by the registration desk Thursday afternoon to see if we have unclaimed wristbands. 6:30 p.m. Entrance to Epcot  Food and Wine Festival (dinner on your own) 8:00 - 9:30 p.m. Sloan-C Dessert Reception and viewing of IllumiNations laser/fireworks show (Worldview Plaza West)   Sloan-C is excited to offer complimentary admission to EPCOT for all our conference guests on Thursday evening.  Following our interactive poster session, which concludes at 6:00pm, take a short 10 minute stroll or ride Disney's Friendship boat from the Swan/Dolphin over to the International Gate at EPCOT.  There, you will be admitted for an evening of fun at EPCOT!  Guests will have access to the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival (entrance is on Sloan-C; dinner and drinks are on your own), then join Sloan-C at 8:00pm at the Worldview Plaza West.  Be our guest for complimentary dessert; cash bar will be available. Network with other conference attendees and enjoy EPCOT's famous IllumiNations laser and fireworks extravaganza.  Entrance to this event is complimentary for registered attendees. Guest tickets are available to purchase ($55 for ages 10+; $15 for ages 9 and below).  All RSVPS and additional ticket purchases must be made during the registration process by November 4.  Wristbands will be distributed during check-in at the conference to those who RSVPd to this event; the wristbands are needed to enter EPCOT that evening. Discounted Walt Disney World park tickets and giftcards for conference attendees:

Sloan-C conference attendees may purchase discounted park tickets.  Please note: Discounted multi-day park tickets should be purchased in advance for the largest discount.  Multi-Day park tickets may be bought onsite at the Swan and Dolphin ticket kiosk; however, the discount is lower onsite.  The special "After 2pm" and "After 4pm" tickets are only available for advance purchase;  they are not available for purchase onsite at the Swan and Dolphin ticket kiosk. 

Purchase a Walt Disney World giftcard - The giftcard may be used for food and drink at the EPCOT International Food and Wine festival prior to Sloan-C's dessert event at EPCOT on Thursday evening.  Giftcards may also be used for many other Walt Disney World purchases and for purchases at the Disney merchandise shop located at the Swan and Dolphin hotel.
