1. Where can I find further details about the conference?

2. How do I register for the conference?  

To register online, please visit the registration page and click on the “REGISTER NOW!” link. To register by phone, please call (781) 583-7561 during regular business hours.

3. Does the cost of the conference include accommodations? Where can I find details of location and accommodation options?

The registration fee does not include accommodations. All conference sessions will be held at The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Lake Buena Vista (Orlando), Florida.

Rooms are available at The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort for a special Sloan-C conference rate.  Attendees must book their hotel room through the conference website or at the Marriott reservations number no later than Friday, October 14 in order to receive the discounted rate of $177.00 per night plus taxes. The special conference rate also applies for three days prior to and three days after the conclusion of the conference.

4. Will there be exhibits at the event? If so, what opportunities are available for exhibitors?  

Space is available for exhibitors; an exhibit prospectus is on this website at http://sloanconsortium.org/conferences/2011/aln/exhibitors_sponsors.  Questions on exhibit and sponsorship opportunities may be addressed to Christine Hinkley at chinkley@sloanconsortium.org.

5. Am I able to provide printed materials to be included in participant packages?

We are committed to going "green" and will not be providing conference bags. Most conference materials will be made available online. There will be a table near the registration desk available for any extra handouts that presenters may have, as well as job advertisement fliers.  However, we do encourage you to use the online conference repository to upload any handouts (rather than printing them) in order to be eco friendly.

7. How do I purchase a pass for my guest to attend the Epcot event on Thursday, November 10, 2011?

You may purchase an additional ticket for your guest when you register for the conference. $55 includes evening park entrance to Epcot, the dessert reception, and Illuminations viewing for your guest.

8. How do I purchase theme park tickets at special rates?

Sloan-C conference attendees may purchase discounted park tickets.  Please note: Discounted multi-day park tickets should be purchased in advance for the largest discount.  Multi-Day park tickets may be bought onsite at the Swan and Dolphin ticket kiosk; however, the discount is lower onsite.  The special "After 2pm" and "After 4pm" tickets are only available for advance purchase;  they are not available for purchase onsite at the Swan and Dolphin ticket kiosk. 

Purchase a Walt Disney World giftcard - The giftcard may be used for food and drink at the EPCOT International Food and Wine festival, including the evening of Wednesday, November 9 during the Sloan-C EPCOT Dessert Event.  Giftcards may also be used for many other Walt Disney World purchases and for purchases at the Disney merchandise shop located at the Swan and Dolphin hotel.
