Abstract

This session will walk attendees through the QC2 Scorecard, a methodology designed to help teach and quantify effective rubric design.

Extended Abstract

Creating effective, valid rubrics is more important than ever. This session will introduce the QC2 Scorecard, designed by Dr. Kaye Shelton and Andrew McCann to help educators learn best practices in rubric design and to quantify effective rubric design.

The title, QC2, comes from Quality, Coherence, and Comprehensiveness – three qualities essential to all rubrics. All attendees will receive a white paper on effective rubric authored by Dr. Shelton, and copies of the QC2 rubric that they can begin using immediately on campuses to assure quality rubric design and assessment methodology.
