Extended Abstract
Today's educational environment demands content that can be shared, discovered and re-used easily and efficiently. With SoftChalk you can create reusable learning objects and share them on SoftChalk CONNECT, a cloud-based, Web 2.0 learning object repository. SoftChalk simplifies the development of learning content by offering the option for collaborative editing, hosting and managed access. You can automatically convert SoftChalk content into reusable learning objects and publish into repositories for reuse in lessons, blogs, webpages, wikis and more. There's even an integrated ScoreCenter to reliably track learner score results from e-Learning content hosted anywhere—on CONNECT, on any LMS, on a webserver, CD-ROM or classroom computers. SoftChalk-generated content supports OER authoring, meta data creation, accessibility and standards-based packaging such as Common Cartridge. Come learn more about SoftChalk, CONNECT and how you can share your OERs with anyone, anywhere, anytime! The goal of this presentation is to show how easy it is to start an OER initiative with SoftChalk and CONNECT.
