Video can be a powerful media for teaching and learning and an asset to any classroom. It provides opportunities for you and your students to present information, for your students to demonstrate their learning, and for you and your students to communicate more effectively and efficiently. Fortunately, the availability of many different web-based video tools means that we can take advantage of the potential benefits of video without having to spend a lot of money on video equipment! In this workshop, you will experiment with several different video tools, practice video techniques to improve engagement and learning outcomes, and share strategies for using video to enhance communication, teaching, and learning. You will also take away templates and tutorials to help you with your future video projects.
To successfully participate in this workshop, you will need a laptop with a web camera and a microphone headset.
Please note this pre-conference workshop is different than the Sloan-C online workshop entitled "Video and Audio Tools for Teaching and Learning".
