Extended Abstract

At the same time that enrollments are growing in many eLearning programs schools are being asked to cut their budgets. Distance learning leaders are literally being asked to do more with less. In this session you will learn about four services which over 400 colleges and universities have used to bring efficiencies of scale to their eLearning programs. SmarterMeasure is an assessment which quantifies students levels of readiness for studying online. Variables measured include individual attributes, life factors, learning styles, technical competencies, typing skills, and reading recall. SmarterSurveys is survey software designed specifically for higher education. Our proprietary algorithms provide rich business intelligence including the production of a standardized scale score which rates faculty on a 0 - 1000 scale and controls for bias on elements such as the student's grade in the course. SmarterFaculty is a searchable database of over 11,000 online faculty. Schools can search the database to find instructors who meet their specific criteria. SmarterProctors is a database of persons to proctor exams. Schools can input the zip code of their students and pull up a list of neutral testing proctors in the students area. Use of the system is free to colleges.
