This session presents a pedagogy of instruction necessary for successful teaching and learning in virtual environments. Issues such as developing appropriate curriculum, writing structured assignments, designing assessments and measures of accountability, implementing successful classroom management strategies, and avoiding pitfalls, such as student attitude and ability, lack of participation and lesson focus. Presenters will offer case studies of assignments that have been piloted over a period of a year sharing student work samples, and assignments. Presenters will show how they designed a student friendly environment to teach in. There will be allow time for discussion and question and answer.
