Beyond Text On A Page: Using Video Interaction to Connect With Students in Your LMS

Whether one is teaching an online course, a hybrid course, or a web enhanced course, engaging students in the online environment of a learning management system can be problematic. Students all too often feel like they are little more than text on a screen to their instructors, and can see their instructors in that light as well. The simple use of video can go a long way in creating connections between students and instructors. This session will discuss strategies for using video interaction, accounts of past success, and a demonstration of the tools discussed.
