How to take the challenge of teaching Engineering techniques through hybrid educational models and virtual reality environments? How to engage engineers (students and professionals) to follow up on-line courses without going to a physical school facility or attending professor’s guidelines in classroom or laboratory? The Continuing and Distance Education Department of the School of Engineering at National University of Mexico developed hybrid educational environments and networking applications to build communities of practice in Engineering to pedagogically translate basic science, knowledge and experience fundamentals into virtual content and 3D practices for needs in road transport engineering, energy saving, and national infrastructure.
