The evidence is indisputable: Too many students are graduating college unprepared to write as professionals. The Moodle-based solution featured in this session is designed to instruct and engage students based on principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The presenters will review the results of a yearlong study of the effectiveness of the Moodle-based writing tutorials and assessments. They will also highlight the development process, and the perceptions and attitudes of students. Session participants will learn how Moodle and UDL principles incorporated in this study can be used in any discipline to support student learning and improve learning outcomes.
