Elluminate Illuminating Inter-Institutional Faculty Development

This presentation discusses a very successful use of the Elluminate room to host a multi-university faculty development certificate program.  Universities in the New Century Learning Consortium (NCLC) use Elluminate once a month to provide faculty development to all seven sites (Cal State Eastbay, Southern Oregon, Louisiana Tech, Oakland, Southern Maine, Chicago State, and the University of Illinois at Springfield).  We started with one of our rooms prior to the grant; however, the grant offered us the flexibility to ensure we would have the "space" for the monthly webinars as interest grew.  This project demonstrates how Elluminate can be used for inter-institutional collaboration to connect practice and experience for the benefit of many.  We will share processes, best practices, and highlights from this collaboration.
