Israeli universities and colleges are examining open-source learning environments. Goals include examining implementation of a novel open source learning environment in pre-service teacher education; assessing Moodle usagge in web-supported courses; and identifying different usage patterns of Moodle components and the resulting empowerment of teaching and learning as a result. Research field included two leading teacher colleges of education in israel. population included Moodle websites supporting face-to-face course and fully online courses.
