Participants will learn how to create an engaging online experience that promotes active learning, higher-order thinking skills, and a sense of community, all through the use of tools and strategies that integrate seamlessly into Moodle. This presentation will center around an active Moodle site that highlights real examples of successful practices and pedagogy in online teaching. The site will demonstrate the AuthorLive Virtual Classroom, a Moodle add-in by Wiz IQ, the high impact uses of VoiceThread and other teaching methods that help faculty to “think outside the book” when developing online course content.
