Session Information
Pre-Conference Workshop (1/2 Day)
July 20, 2010 - 9:00am
Fairfield Room

This workshop will share clear strategies for starting and sustaining an ePortfolio program. Participants will be taken through a "mapping" exercise--showing how student work can be directly linked to learning outcomes at course, program, and institutional levels. Participants will leave with key questions to ask faculty, program directors, and department chairs during the start-up process, and rationales for promoting project-based, authentic assessment. The workshop will lead participant discussions around specific examples of ePortfolio use: a) within different disciplines, b) for assessment at different levels (e.g., student performance, institutional accreditation), and c) in different segments within the K-20 environment.
