Extending Moodle Across the Institution: Integration Strategies and Methods

The Learning Management System (LMS) has been institutionalized as a core service for many Academic Technology operations on higher education campuses. It is the dominant delivery mode of content, interactivity, and assessment for many faculty, yet often remains isolated from other core academic services such as the library or lecture capture. San Francisco State University has developed an integration strategy that places Moodle centrally within a comprehensive suite of tools that meet the teaching and learning needs of the campus.
