Grassroots Synergy: Creating and Fostering a Technology-Rich Learning Leadership Community for F2F, Blended, and Online

Participants will discover how a small faculty group who voluntarily established a community to share technological interest became university faculty development leaders guiding faculty in five areas: Objectives and Outcome Goals, Engaging Assignment Design, Interaction and Collaboration Components, Authentic Assessment Practices, and a Learner Support /Online Resources Collection. The core of this session, enhanced with handouts, web links, slides, and multimedia tools, will offer participants a detailed tour of training resources the community created including discussion boards, blogs, wikis, and podcasts as well as Sophie 2, animations, iMovies, Voice Thread, Freecorder, Camtasia, LodeStar, and Second Life.
