This interactive presentation demonstrates a Moodle-based learning management system that integrates social networking tools and emerging technologies that facilitate the creation of online learning communities that both foster engagement during face-to-face instruction as well as perpetuate students’ asynchronous learning engagement. Adobe Connect integrated into the Moodle-based LMS provides instructional tools that carry significant implications for online learning. Via live demonstration with an actual class comprised of students who live in various parts of the United States, the audience will see how students create and share their own professional profile and utilize a virtual community wall to enhance their learning.
