MAOR: The Israeli Learning Object Repository

MAOR (Meta-data and Object Repository) is a national Israeli learning objects database established by the IUCC (Inter-University Computation Center), the ISOC-IL (Israeli Chapter of the Internet Society), and the Israeli Ministry of Education, in cooperation with MERLOT. MAOR allows access and contribution to MERLOT through a Hebrew interface. Eli Shmueli, IUCEL (Inter-University Center for E-Learning) Director, will present challenges of creating an e-learning object repository in Israel, as well as the localization of the MERLOT interface and database to the Israeli community.
