MERLOT and Creative Commons: A Practical Guide

This presentation describes how MERLOT supports and encourages the use of Creative Commons licenses throughout its website at www.merlot.org. These includes a detailed description of Creative Commons integration into the MERLOT Acceptable Use Policy, incorporation of CC license metadata for all materials submitted to the MERLOT repository; and the requirement that all MERLOT Content Builder authors declare a CC license for every material they build. The presentation will provide attendees with information necessary to use CC licenses, and also to create policies to enable them to integrate CC licensing into their own organizations.
