MERLOT's Content Builder Authoring System

MERLOT, collaborating with the Carnegie Foundation, has integrated Carnegie’s KEEP Toolkit directly into the MERLOT system. The new MERLOT Content Builder incorporates all KEEP Toolkit functions so that instructors, using a new MERLOT-like interface can easily build learning materials and directly “publish” them to the MERLOT repository. The collaboration enabled Carnegie/KEEP users to transfer their KEEP user accounts and materials to the Content Builder repository, all materials now hosted by MERLOT. This project is begins of a more extensive initiative by MERLOT, to encourage instructors to use the MERLOT system for developing /finding high quality, open access, online learning materials.
