Mobile learning is learning that happens when the learner uses available learning opportunities offered by mobile technologies. The use of mobile, portable, and wireless devices is gradually increasing and diversifying across every sector of education. It can be used as a tool to increase student engagement in learning as well as developing them into independent learners. "Whether we like it or not, whether we are ready for it or not, Mobile learning represents the next step in a long tradition of technology-mediated learning” (Wagner 2005). The challenge for educators is one of understanding and exploring how best we might use these resources to support learning.
