Rising to the Challenge: Training Instructors to Meet Increased Need for Online Courses
Focusing on Ocean County College, this presentation shows how the instructional design staff used survey data to support faculty as well as adjuncts at every stage of technological adoption. Although faculty members had different priorities, the majority preferred online, asynchronous support for producing and teaching online courses. The presentation delves into each one of the support opportunities created and the utilization rates by different groups of instructors. From attending this presentation, administrators, support personnel and faculty will learn how to efficiently and effectively support all instructors developing and teaching online courses.
