In this session aimed at potential authors, the editors of MERLOT’s Journal of Online Learning and Teaching (JOLT) will provide an overview of this peer reviewed online journal, which now attracts 100,000 readers per year from over 180 countries worldwide. Included will be discussions of the types of papers of interest to JOLT, guidelines for authors, the submission and review processes, review criteria, the journal’s acceptance rate, and common mistakes made by authors. Ample time will be afforded for questions from those in attendance. A visit to the JOLT website (http://jolt.merlot.org) prior to the session would be useful.
