Idaho State University (ISU) successfully integrated Moodle with Banner, its newly adopted student information system using an open source enrollment module developed by Eric Merrill of Oakland University. ISU's implementation required changes in the connection between Banner and Moodel that could not easily be implemented in Banner. Working with the Moodle community , changes needed in the module were developed. Standing on the shoulders of previous developers, ISU had a connector in a fraction of the total development time. This process at ISU was facilitated by open communication between the Banner implementation team, the Registrar, and the Moodle development team.
