How can you improve online threaded discussions? How can your grading of these discussions be more objective but take into consideration the quality of the response? Are your students posting their responses at the last minute so basically, it really isn’t a discussion at all? How can their responses be more comprehensive? Whole class or small group discussions? Who should be responsible for discussion facilitation? Dr. Barfield will share her twelve years of online teaching experience (learned the “Hard Way”); participants will share their experiences and suggestions. Dr. Barfield will present her effective scoring process for TD.
