Through ethnographic research into student study habits and their use of technology, the idea was born for a collaborative online application that takes students’ skills from social media (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and the like) and translates them into constructive behaviors in an educational context. Hear how student collaboration and peer support is being nurtured using web 2.0 concepts at hundreds of universities in the U.S. and U.K., ushering in the academic social web.
