Using MERLOT with Your Students: Developing Assignments, Research Tasks, and Reviews

This session will model MERLOT scenarios and examples, provide educational interactions and discussions about current pedagogical practices, present an actual assignment/task with the participants including assessment, and provide time for each participant to investigate the skills and opportunities presented to refine, revise or redesign current content assignments relevant to their teaching needs. Practical steps for getting started, using the many MERLOT tools available, assessment possibilities, and considerations for face-to-face, hybrid, and 100% online courses will be addressed. A summary sheet of selected pedagogical approaches and suggestions for developing assignments, research, and review tasks with MERLOT will be provided.
