This poster session with an accompanying computer demo explores how Dr. Kulik used a WebBlog to engage students and enhance learning objectives in an online course called Global Social Change. During the summer of 2009, Dr. Kulik conducted a course from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico while volunteering with a non-profit organization. Through a WebBlog, she provided real-life and real-time examples of global social issues in Mexico, which were discussed in the context of course concepts each week in a discussion forum. Initial student responses, which were positive, will be presented and pedagogical challenges will be discussed.
