What is the Virtual Attendee Option?
We will offer once again an option that will allow participants to make the conference come to them! The Virtual Attendee Option contains opportunities for individuals and institutions to attend select sessions of the Emerging Technologies for Online Learning Symposium, including keynote, plenary, closing session, numerous featured and special interest sessions, and select concurrent sessions as well as a virtual exhibit hall from the live event in San Jose, California.

The Virtual sessions will stream live online July 21 - 23, 2010, with on-demand access to all onsite and virtual attendees post-conference. Special attention will be paid to integrate the face-to-face event with the virtual event in a way that makes the virtual attendees true participants of the symposium.

The program offering for virtual attendees will be posted in May.  Online registration will open at that time.

Why choose the virtual attendee option?

• Participate despite schedule or budget restraints.  If you schedule or budget does not allow for the trip or your institution does not support travel outside of your state, the virtual attendee option provides a full-scale online experience.

• Virtual schedule provides excellent breadth and depth program offering.  Select sessions to be live broadcast include keynote, plenary, closing, featured sessions by Sloan-C, MERLOT, and Moodle, special interest sessions, over  50 regular concurrent session presentations, and 12 vendor showcase presentations.

• View live webcast or on-demand recordings.  Onsite and virtual option attendees have access to on-demand recordings of the sessions for up to one year post-conference.

• Be a true participant of the Symposium. Special attention is paid to integrate the onsite event with the virtual event. Virtual attendees will be able to post questions in each session and have access to discussion forums.
