April 4, 2012 - April 13, 2012 Drawing from research in “Making It Worth the Stay: Findings from the New England Adult Learner Persistence Project” (The New England Literacy Resource Center, 2009), this workshop will be linked to several case studies of techniques used with Web-based and other tools to support persistence in an online ESOL course for adults. Participants will experiment with, analyze, and evaluate tools and techniques for their use with the learners they work with.
