Capella University Officials Invited to Speak at Blended Learning Conference
As online education continues to evolve, a number of leaders in the field are seeking ways to improve distance learning and make it accessible to more people. In recent weeks, Capella University announced in a press release that officials from the school have been invited to discuss best practices for campus-based and online education at the Eighth Annual Sloan Consortium Blended Learning Conference and Workshop: Evidence to Practice: Fulfilling the Promise.
The event, which will take place on March 28 and 29, was created to give administrative leaders, faculty members, instructional designers and researchers an opportunity to discuss effective practices in campus-based and online learning.
"The staff and faculty at Capella University are committed to continuously improving the quality of our programs," said Randy Johnson, faculty chair and colloquia lead at Capella. "The PhD colloquia redesign project is a great example of our cross-functional teams working together to think beyond our traditional learning delivery methods in order to provide the best learning experience possible."
Johnson and Tom Godfrey, course development supervisor for Capella's Next Generation Learning department, will give a presentation on how to create a blended education experience.
