Dr Colin Marlaire is the Director for the Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Training. His Department conducts all faculty training and support, identifies important emergent technologies and oversees early innovation and institutional adoption of those technologies. The Faculty Center also oversees a virtual faculty community where conversations around pedagogy and practice involving all faculty occur on an ongoing basis. Prior to the Directorship, he was an assistant professor of English… teaching courses in Critical Theory, authors and works of the English Romantic and Victorian periods.. His research interests include: effective use of technologies in higher education, the evolution of the novel both within and without European civilizations, the social impact of the internet. He received his Ph. D. in English from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
