Kathy has a Master's in Educational Technology, she is a Quality Matters Master Reviewer and Trainer, and an experienced online instructor. Kathy is an online instructor for the University of Central Missouri and an Educational Technologist at the Kansas University Medical Center. She is a leader in a quality assurance in online teaching and learning through the application of the 41 best practice standards’ guidelines developed by Quality Matters, and a recipient of the ANGEL Impact in Teaching Award, 2009. In addition to her work at UCM & KU-MC, she works as a quality assurance consultant for the programs and universities across the United States.

As a Master Reviewer and Trainer for Quality Matters and a leader in the KUMC campus wide initiative to align online and hybrid courses with national best practice standards, Kathy develops and provides training and workshops for program and campuses across the United States to ensure pedagody as the driver and technology as supporting tools to meet the highest expectations for student satisfaction and engagement.
