Our Sloan-C Certificate Featured Graduate of the Month is Jianshan Shen of Shanghai Silong Consulting. 

Jianshan has been a management consultant, creating and managing companies since 2002. His company, Silong Consulting, delivers face-to-face professional training programs in China.

While completing the program in 2012, Jianshan completed a portfolio linking instructional quality and course design to community building. His stated learning goal was to obtain a comprehensive understanding of online teaching in the states and apply it within his company's training program. His certificate program electives included three Sloan-C Institute workshops: An Introduction to MERLOT, Mastering Synchronous Activities for the Blended Classroom, and Talent Management in Online Education.

Mentor Susan Ko highlighted the strength of Jianshan's reflections upon completion of the program, one of which was to include course orientations to guide learners in course navigation, schedule of assignments and learner responsibilities.
